Respect the Goddess Within

In the modern ‘spiritual movement’, there’s a whole lot of “Respect the Goddess Within” talk. That is valuable. Many people would be well-served to reframe their lives to work within such a construct. It is also, gender biased and divisive. What if they are NOT a Goddess, but more like an Angel? Or a Demon? And what about, “Respect the God Within”? Are we men a mere accoutrement to you women? Countless men have been cruel and abusive to women all throughout the ages. And we’ve been just as brutal, if not even worse to our own brethren. Does that warrant God-like respect? Yet, we’ve also built (almost) all of this entire developed world…with our bare hands…including that very house, apartment, office, car, train, bus, airport, etc. you are sitting in. And also, the computing device you are Facebooking on. So ladies, a little respect, please. What if we exert our Alpha Male true nature, are you ladies offended? Or turned on? Please make up your minds. And please stop making us men crazy. Macho? or Feminized? Which is it? Is it cultural retaliation for the tens of thousands of years of abuse women have endured at the hands of men? Or, is it a constantly fluid adaptation to your own unique set of circumstances? Why not rather, Male, Female or Trans, Gay, Bisexual or Straight, just respect and love OURSELVES? Then, we’ll just naturally respect and love EACH OTHER. Pretty simple.
